Xtalic develops XENERGY® — A Nanostructured Soft Magnetic Alloy for Wireless Data and Power Applications

By June 2, 2025June 10th, 2025No Comments

Xtalic Corporation, a leader in nanostructured alloy technology, announced the launch of XENERGY®, a nickel-iron-cobalt alloy designed to meet the growing demands of wireless charging, high-frequency inductive components, and next-generation power applications. As the performance requirements for wireless power transfer and compact electronic devices continue to rise, XENERGY delivers up to 200% increase in inductance, 50% reduction in AC resistance, and enhanced magnetic efficiency — all in a coating less than 1 micron thick.

Key Benefits of XENERGY:

  • Boosted Inductance (20–200%) on ultra-fine copper wire (as small as 25µm)
  • Demonstrated Q-boost and lower AC resistance, leading to faster charging and reduced heat
  • Compact coil design enables miniaturization
  • Long-term magnetic stability in high-temperature, high-frequency conditions

XENERGY is available at production scale through a global supply chain, including pilot-scale electroplating lines and a serial production partners. Over 250,000 kilometers of wire have been successfully coated to date.

Xtalic’s rapid alloy development platform continues to deliver market-ready, sustainable material innovations. XENERGY along with other alloys such as LUNA®, XTRONIC®, and PALLEX®, have helped customers reduce reliance on precious metals, lower their environmental footprint, and improve product reliability.
